Welcome to Farmer Blue

WELCOME TO FARMER BLUE!

Nestled outside of Beaufort, South Carolina, you’ll find Farmer Blue, a 12-acre cut flower farm.  Founded in 2017 on a mission to provide floral professional & event planners access to seasonally rich, locally-grown flowers. This specialty farm is a wonderland with over 300 types of annuals, herbaceous perennials and shrubs.

We are passionate about using sustainable practices that work in harmony with the environment and are supportive to the community.

Over the past few years, our customers have requested greater access to our special blooms. As a result, we launched a floral studio this year, making it easier to purchase flowers from Farmer Blue. Whether you’re looking for someone to design and project manage your event florals, want to buy bulk flower stems via our wholesale channel, need a weekly arrangement or bouquet, or want to collaborate on a custom flower grown per your specification for a wedding or product launch, we’re here to help.

Approach:

Every design, from a small bouquet to a large-scale event, is inspired by the delicate forms and textures of the flowers themselves which means that, just like nature itself, no two projects are ever the same. At the farm we are always pushing the creative and technical boundaries of growing local luxury flowers. We also have strategic alliances and partnerships with other local flower growers, building a strong community to provide our customers with a broader selection of local products.

Our Ethos:

We never use single-use plastic or non-biodegradable floral foam in our Farmer Blue designs. We passionately believe the future of the luxury floristry industry is rooted in seasonality, so all our products use as many flowers as possible grown on our farm or in partnership with other certified local farms across the southeast US.

Having an strategic partnership between the florist and the local growers allows us to collaborate and plant the right flower at the right time to create beautiful designs and source for your special event!

Why Local Flowers?

Approximately 80% of cut flowers sold in the US are imported from other countries. These flowers are shipped thousands of miles, often reaching your event or dinner party weeks after they’ve been cut, preserved by chemicals and lasting mere days in your vase.

By sourcing your flowers locally, not only are you supporting local business and your community, but you’re also receiving a superior flower, one that goes straight from the fields to your home, business or event location. We grow flowers for the event segment which means that you won’t see the typical ‘grocery store’ flowers or the same quality of stem. Instead, we offer unique varieties that thrive in our client.
